8. Website Analytics and Cookies
The vandien.io website (including this Privacy Policy page) uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to help us understand how visitors find and use the site. Our Google Analytics measurement ID is G-5KV1QL3DZL. Google Analytics is loaded only on web pages — the DropFile desktop Software itself does not contain Google Analytics or any comparable web-tracking code.
When you visit a page on vandien.io that loads the Google Analytics tag, Google may set first-party cookies in your browser (typically named “_ga” and “_ga_<container-id>”) and process the following information:
- A truncated form of your IP address (Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses);
- The pages you visit on the site and the time spent on each;
- The referring URL, if any, and basic campaign parameters (such as utm_source);
- Browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and language;
- Approximate geographic location (country and region) derived from your IP address.
We use this information only in aggregate, to measure site traffic and to understand which pages and products visitors are interested in. We do not use Google Analytics to build advertising audiences, to retarget visitors, or to identify you as an individual. Google acts as our data processor and processes this data under Google’s own terms; for additional detail see Google’s Privacy Policy and the Google Analytics safeguards page.
You can prevent your visit from being measured at any time by:
- Installing the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on;
- Blocking third-party scripts or cookies in your browser, or using a content-blocking extension or DNS filter that blocks googletagmanager.com and google-analytics.com.
Disabling website analytics has no effect on your ability to download, purchase, license, or use DropFile.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Van Dien io LLC reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this document and notify you through the Software or via the email address associated with your purchase. Your continued use of DropFile after such notification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
